Job description

Easy Automation Inc. (EAI) is a family-owned and operated international supplier of software, automation technology, and equipment to the feed manufacturing, agronomy, and grain handling industries. Operating under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), our team strives to meet the company’s core values of Empathy, Approachability, Integrity, and Perseverance. EAI allows customers to fully integrate their operations with industry-leading solutions in controls, software, and equipment. With a mission to help feed the world and a deep commitment to our customers, EAI provides unparalleled service and practical engineering for exceptional solutions.

EAI is launching a dedicated Grain Solutions division and is seeking a Grain Solutions Technical Sales role to lead the charge. This is a high-visibility, entrepreneurial role reporting directly to the Co-President, responsible for building EAI’s presence in the grain handling market – developing customer relationships, driving new business, and working alongside EAI’s development and controls teams to shape a grain-specific product offering. On top of a competitive base salary, this position includes performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the grain automation and software technical expert for regional account managers by helping scope opportunities, define customer needs, and develop solutions for co-operatives, grain elevators, and ag facilities across the Midwest.
  • Represent EAI Grain Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings including GEAPS and regional co‑op conferences
  • Translate real‑world grain facility needs and operator pain points into clear product requirements for EAI’s development team — serving as the internal voice of the grain customer
  • Participate actively in product scoping, testing, and validation sessions to ensure grain‑specific functionality meets customer expectations
  • Support beta customer engagements, providing on‑site presence and feedback loops between customers and the development team
  • Stay current on competitive offerings and industry trends to inform EAI’s product strategy and market positioning
  • Deliver a 90‑day market assessment and pipeline report to EAI leadership, mapping and prioritizing the top target accounts in the Midwest
  • Additional duties and roles as needed
Job Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in the grain industry, with a background in grain operations, software systems, or related technology-enabled facility processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of grain facility workflows and systems, including truck receiving, bulk weighers, facility controls, accounting integrations, and grain contracts.
  • Strong technical aptitude with genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for what automation and software technology can do for grain operations — familiarity with PLC‑based controls or scale house software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — equally comfortable presenting to a co‑op board and walking a grain facility floor
  • Self‑directed and entrepreneurial — able to operate with autonomy and build structure in an early‑stage division environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Systems Technology, or a related field preferred — equivalent experience will be considered
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time in the startup phase, reducing to approximately 15% as the division matures.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and passport (or be able to obtain one).
  • Must be able to travel to Canada.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, grain legs, or similar and tolerate dusty work environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted and sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, or squat several times a day.

This position will require travel (approximately 25% in the startup phase) to customer sites and co‑operative facilities across the Midwest. This role can be based anywhere in the Midwest, with required regular travel to EAI’s Welcome, MN headquarters (southern MN).

Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus performance bonuses tied to division milestones and revenue performance.

On-Target Earning Range: $100,000 — $150,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
