Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is seeking a diligent loading and bulk handling operator for our Wood River, Nebraska facility. You will operate and maintain equipment used to load and unload ethanol, distillers’ grains, and other products while ensuring quality and safety.

Responsibilities include weighing and grading materials, timely railcar and truck loading/unloading, and accurate record-keeping. Prior grain receiving experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be hard-working and self-motivated.
• Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to multi-task and work with all staff levels.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Experience in grain receiving and grading.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery for loading/unloading ethanol and distillers products.
• Weigh and grade raw materials and final products.
• Load/unload by railcar and truck in a timely manner.
• Complete records related to products shipped from the plant.
• Inspect and maintain rolling stock; report mechanical issues.
• Enter customer and product data into grain receiving software.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure timely unloading.
• Assist with chemical inventory and supplier coordination.
