Job summary

Heartland Co-op in Dallas Center, IA is seeking a Part Time Grain Handler who will receive, store, and distribute grain and other products. You will unload, clean, and maintain grain quality, move grain within the location, and assist with various location duties as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and may involve lifting substantial weight. Prior related experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, cleans, stores, and maintains grain received at the location; ensures grain quality is maintained during storage.
• Moves grain within location; cleans and inspects bins; loads grain for shipment.
• Maintains warehouse, location grounds and equipment to company standards.
• Assists with other location functions during slow times.
• Maintains inventory records and housekeeping logs.
• Monitors grain inventory related systems and equipment for quality control.
