Job description

Pay Type: Hourly, bi-weekly.

Work Location: N3220 Seier Road, Fall River, WI, 53932.

Core Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with available overtime hours/pay.

Grain Production Operator Essential Responsibilities:

ALCIVIA is looking for a Grain Production Operator to perform duties throughout the Grain & Agronomy facility. This position is responsible for incoming and outbound grain, maintaining grain conditions, and measuring grain inventory. Also, will be responsible for loading and unloading bulk and packaged fertilizer, chemical products, and measure agronomy inventory. The Grain Production Operator must maintain a safe & clean environment and maintain equipment & facilities. In this position, responsibilities include working indoors & outdoors throughout the entire calendar year.

  • Operate and maintain grain elevator equipment, including conveyors, scales, and grain dryers.
  • Ensure incoming grain from semis or trains are delivered efficiently and correctly.
  • Load and unload trucks and railcars using heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts.
  • Assist members with loading and unloading corn/beans/wheat.
  • Keep accurate records of grain inventory and transactions.
  • Bin grain in anticipation of handling, blending, and loading out.
  • Store bushels properly, safely, and efficiently.
  • Visually inspect stored grain and complete inspection reports.
  • Check bin temperature and aerate grain based on weather conditions and moisture.
  • Blend grains as directed to achieve maximum grade and limit discounts.
  • Dry grain properly and safely and allow adequate room for wet bushels.
  • General maintenance of equipment, required to climb to the top of the grain storage bins (approx. 100 feet) using appropriate tools and procedures to maintain equipment, requires climbing on ladders to elevation.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and report/correct equipment failures to supervisor.
  • Observe closely and comply with local, state, and federal guidelines & regulations.
  • Attend safety training and safety meetings.
  • Report unsafe conditions or behavior immediately to supervisor.
  • Report any problems immediately and ensure they are resolved.
  • Assist with housekeeping maintenance by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized facility throughout the assigned facility.
  • Assist with weighting and grading inbound and outbound grain in the Scale House.
  • Assist with answering customer questions.
  • Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Grain Production Operator Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous grain production experience preferred.
  • Agriculture background preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Basic computer and technology skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to identify objectives and recommend the best solutions.
  • Possess a strong set of core values and beliefs.
  • Accept responsibility while maintaining integrity.
  • Remain persistent and recover quickly from setbacks.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Climb 30-foot bins, rail cars, and 100-foot grain legs.
