• Provide weekly updates to the grain team on activities and market developments.
• Participate in weekly origination team calls to discuss strategies and needs.
• Assist in generating purchase contracts with customers and ensuring timeliness.

This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with our experienced grain originators and assist in sourcing grains, managing logistics, and contributing to the overall strategy of our sourcing operations.**Essential Duties:*** Maintain direct contact with customers and prospects within the designated trade area to foster relationships and expand the customer base.* Build and manage a customer contact list, establishing a consistent contact pattern to ensure effective communication.* Provide weekly updates to the grain team on the past week’s activities, including customer interactions and market developments.* Participate in weekly team calls as a member of the origination team to discuss strategies, market conditions, and customer needs.* Assist in generating purchase contracts with customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.* Update daily grain bids and delivery hours on the company’s website and app to ensure current and accurate information for customers.* Follow accounting procedures to maintain accurate grain positions and support the overall financial management of grain transactions.* Periodically contribute to customer engagement efforts by providing newsletter articles, social media content, or other relevant information to customers and prospects.* Evaluate marketing alternatives and assist in executing marketing plans to maximize value for grain customers.* Develop a solid understanding of the company’s cash grain positions and basis positions and be able to assess these for potential marketing returns.**Note:** This job description is not intended to be exhaustive.
