If you’re detail-oriented and a strong communicator, this internship provides real-world experience in the agricultural industry and potential for long-term growth. The internship can start as early as Spring 2027, depending on business needs and your availability, and extend through the summer.

Qualifications

• Learn and assist with grain origination: procure grain from local producers and call on new accounts.
• Learn and observe working with producers, updating them on market trends, current grain quotes, grain programs, and forming marketing plans.
• Assist with reporting and typing all purchasing contracts quickly and accurately.
• Assist Grain Originator with rail billing and grain sales settlements as needed.
• Partner with the elevator and office staff in the exchange of information to enhance the flow of grain.
• Provide excellent customer service and work well with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Gains knowledge of grain origination processes and market updates.
• Supports grain operations and inventory control.
• Assists with rail billing and settlements as needed.
• Contributes to accurate reporting and contract typing.
• Delivers excellent customer service to producers and stakeholders.
• Maintains compliance with CHS safety policies.
