Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of grain trading experience.
• Knowledge of hedging, marketing, logistics and risk management.

• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Four-year degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with daily trading and operational tasks.
• Monitor Daily Position Report (DPR), overall positions and trading strategy.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on position limits.
• Coordinate processes between traders and execution staff through contract to settlement.
• Assist with execution and trading communication between groups.
• Collaborate with other offices to identify trading opportunities.
• Originate commodities from country elevators and company facilities.
• Develop and maintain customer and supplier relationships.
• Merchandise commodities by truck and rail; learn rail rates and programs.
• Read and comply with trade rules and regulations; review credit limits for compliance.
• Complete execution records to ensure accurate grain settlements.
• Report grain positions daily and monthly; stay informed on market intelligence.
• Trade within company limits and risk management guidelines.

This position will work closely with team members and customers in commodity-based daily trading activities. The Grain Merchandiser will be responsible for managing trading positions, developing and supporting relationships with suppliers and end users, maximizing company profitability, and adhering to strict business ethics and company policies. This role will work closely with management to understand company strategy and assist with its implementation throughout the trading group.**Responsibilities:**- Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with daily trading and operational tasks. - Work closely with management and monitor the Daily Position Report (DPR), overall positions, and trading strategy. - Monitor daily position limits and provide accurate and timely reporting. - Communicate and coordinate established processes and procedures between traders and execution staff, including paper flow from initial contract through final settlement. - Assist with execution and trading communication between groups. - Work closely with other offices to identify synergies and trading opportunities. - Originate commodities from country elevators and company-owned facilities. - Solicit new business while maintaining and developing existing business relationships. - Manage customer and supplier relationships. - Merchandise commodities by both truck and rail. - Learn and understand rail rates and programs. - Read, understand, and comply with applicable trade rules and regulations. - Review credit limits and policies to maintain compliance at all times. - Complete execution records as needed to ensure grain settlements are completed accurately and in a timely manner. - Report accurate and timely grain positions and review position reports on a daily and monthly basis. - Maintain current knowledge of commodity market intelligence and supply and demand conditions. - Trade commodities within established company position limits and trading guidelines. - Develop an understanding of futures, basis, spreads, and risk management strategies. - Protect company inventories and contracted grain positions through appropriate hedging practices. - Immediately report any breach of position limits, credit requirements, regulatory requirements, or company policies to the appropriate supervisor. - Stay informed on traded markets and identify opportunities to grow company market share. - Communicate with Agrex and Mitsubishi personnel regarding market conditions, trading opportunities, and business activities by phone and email. - Maintain current knowledge of required company education and regulatory materials. - Travel as directed for company functions, training, customer visits, and other business needs.**ALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
