Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Grain Helpers for multiple Central IL locations (Pleasant Plains, Greenview, Athens, Riverton). Full-time with overtime, outdoor work, and seasonal harvest schedule.

You will assist with receiving, storing, and shipping grain, open/close doors, monitor shipments, and perform housekeeping, with end-of-season bonuses at select sites.

Pay is up to $20/hour with weekly pay; benefits include steady hours and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding labor.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Grain handling, agriculture, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support daily grain handling and facility operations during harvest season.
• Open and close truck and railcar doors for grain loading and unloading.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing grain shipments (corn and soybeans).
• Assist with grain dumping and grain handling operations.
• Cover grain piles with tarps to protect stored product.
• Shovel, sweep, and perform dust cleanup and general housekeeping.
• During early harvest, mow, trim weeds, and clean grain bins and storage areas.
• Work from elevated platforms using safety equipment and harnesses.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
