Job summary

Bunge is seeking an Elevator Operator III in McLeansboro, IL to manage loading, unloading and transferring grain with emphasis on safety and efficiency, supporting storage and facility operations.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:00am–4:00pm with hourly pay ranging from $15.00 to $20.38. Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience, strong communication, and a commitment to quality and safety in a controlled environment.

• Skilled in maintenance, equipment operations, safety programs, and grain operations.
• Ability to lead others and maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of the loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
• Perform grain receiving, weighing, and grading duties and help with unloading/loading trucks, barges and rail.
• Inspect barges, trucks, and railcars before loading.
• Operate and monitor more advanced grain handling equipment (grain dryer, grain control room, bin sweeps, and locomotives) on a routine basis.
• Fix more complex maintenance issues (fabrication, repairs, etc.).
• Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Know and understand all facets of Bunge’s safety programs and culture, and have a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrate safe working practices with the ability to notify operations of safety alarms.
• Properly and accurately record all applicable documentation.
