Star of the West in Vermontville, Michigan is seeking a dependable, full-time grain and fertilizer handler to service multiple local locations. The role involves unloading grain trucks, operating drying/conditioning equipment, assisting with storage and inventory, and blending fertilizer for customers.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable working outdoors, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and committed to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Description

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team in a full-time grain and fertilizer handling position serving multiple locations throughout the Vermontville/Potterville area.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Dump and unload grain trucks
• Operate grain drying and conditioning equipment
• Assist with grain storage, handling, and inventory
• Load fertilizer products safely and efficiently
• Mix and prepare custom fertilizer blends to meet customer needs
• Operate equipment and perform general facility and material-handling dutiesMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Work at multiple locations as needed
• Previous grain, fertilizer, agriculture, or equipment-handling experience preferred
• Dependable and willing to work as part of a team
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical material-handling duties
• Willingness to learn and operate grain and fertilizer equipment
• Strong attention to safety
