Job summary

Nexus is seeking a Grain Operative to support grain handling and feed production at our facility. The role emphasizes safety, equipment operation, and inventory management to ensure efficient grain and feed processing.

Responsibilities include operating scale houses, loading trucks, performing routine maintenance, and complying with OSHA rules. A CDL is required or willingness to obtain one, with at least two years in production settings.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in production facilities.
• Has or must be willing to obtain a CDL.

Responsibilities

• Grain handling includes but is not limited to filling, reclaiming and transferring of grain.
• Climb legs and bins for maintenance and inventory.
• Responsible for running the scale house and front counter as needed.
• Maintains a clean or organized working environment by performing housekeeping activities.
• General Maintenance; greasing, equipment inspections.
• Responsible for loading delivery trucks and staging delivery orders for the following morning.
• Monitoring and filling the micro system and assisting the Mill Operator with mixing of feed.
• Managing the feed warehouse products and using a forklift.
• Complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Maintains an accurate running inventory.
• Performing other work-related duties as assigned

Job description

The Feed and Grain Operations role will perform duties related to Grain Operations and the Feed Mill. Primary role will be performing the duties associated with the grain facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures. Such duties include but are not limited to grain handling, general maintenance, and scale house responsibilities. This role will also provide assistance to the feed mill performing tasks to advance the effectiveness and efficiency of the feed production system. This position will also ensure the manufacturing, packaging and loading of animal feed operating a variety of heavy industrial equipment.
