Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Grain Elevator Production Operator is to work as part of a team to safely and efficiently unload various commodities from trucks, rail cars, and within the facility. This position involves outside work, exposure to weather, and flexible scheduling, with a starting pay of $22.50/hour.

Work Schedule and Benefits

The hours are 6 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k), disability coverage, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with unloading/loading grain commodities
  • Perform housekeeping and general maintenance tasks
  • Operate railcar loading systems and equipment
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety awareness and productivity
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehousing
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining equipment
  • English proficiency for communication and reading procedures
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and variable hours
  • Pre-employment background checks required
Physical Requirements
  • Climb railcars/ladders, work at heights, and shovel grain safely
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for most of the shift

Additional bonuses include a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 3 months and a $1,000 retention bonus after 9 months, contingent on no violations.
