Job summary

Bunge-SCF Grain facility in Fairmont City, IL is seeking an Elevator Operator to operate the grain elevator, handle loading/unloading, and transfer grain and grain products efficiently and safely.

The role includes rotating 12-hour shifts (days or nights) with starting pay of $20.75 per hour and opportunities for short-term advancement, supporting various areas of grain handling and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading, unloading, and transferring grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail.
• Inspects barges, trucks, and railcars before loading.
• Operate and monitor grain handling equipment (grain dryer, control room, bin sweeps, locomotives).
• Understand and follow Bunge safety and environmental programs and demonstrate safe working practices.
• Record all required documentation.
• Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties.
