Job summary

The Grain Elevator Assistant Superintendent at Prairie Grain Partners will assist in leading all day-to-day activities of the designated grain elevator in Harrold, SD, including inventory handling, grain quality/conditioning, elevator equipment, housekeeping, and rail/truck loading. Establish and maintain preventative maintenance and sanitation schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in grain operations or a combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day grain elevator operations, including inventory/quality management, equipment operation, housekeeping, and truck loading/unloading
• Oversee and direct direct reports; manage timecards and safety compliance
• Operate PLC for unloading/loading operations and coordinate preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain regular communication with area manager, track grain quality, and prevent commingling
• Perform general facility maintenance and assist customers as needed
• Ensure safety regulations and PPE compliance; support shift coverage including nights/weekends as required
