Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Family Graduation Advocate Liaison I to support a caseload of WCSD families, monitor student progress, and facilitate communication with teachers and school staff to keep students on the graduation pathway.

The role emphasizes collaboration with counselors, administrators, and families to empower students, navigate school platforms, and promote active parental involvement in education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college experience desirable.
• Two years of experience with students or families in school or community agencies; bilingual is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supports school-site and central office personnel by working with a designated caseload of families to monitor academic progress and promote on-track graduation.
• Conducts targeted outreach to families of students at risk of not graduating.
• Collaborates with school administration and counselors to identify targeted families and build the caseload for the school year.
• Empowers families to support their child\'s academic achievement by setting high expectations at home and understanding progress with grades, credits, and attendance.
