Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies in Golden, CO is offering a year-round graduate internship in Transportation Systems Analysis. Qualifications

Minimum 3.0 GPA and full‑time student status for undergrad or graduate.
Graduate + PhD: enrolled as a PhD student and eligible for internship up to one year.
Proficient in Python, R, MATLAB, or SQL.
Experience with quantitative data and data visualization is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist researchers on projects analyzing transportation energy systems.
Analyze large-scale travel activity and geospatial data.
Develop population evolution and microsimulation frameworks and communicate methods clearly.
Evaluate accessibility and quantify tradeoffs with mobility systems and policy impacts.
Generate insights from transit data (GTFS, ridership, fares).
Document methods and prepare technical reports and publications.
