Qualifications

• Enrolled in at least 6 units for the semester.
• Demonstrated progress toward the degree.
• Ability to relate well with faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills for instructional settings.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and manage the lab component of the IS52 Computer Concepts course.
• Exhibit proficiency in instructional software used in the lab.
• Exhibit proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Prepare course material as assigned by the IS52 Course Coordinator.
• Maintain regular communication with students regarding weekly assignments, homework projects, and exams.
• Assess student performance and assign grades.
• Assist students outside of class during office hours by appointment.
• Attend TA orientation at the beginning of the semester.
• Maintain office hours.
• Evaluate student work.
• Administer and proctor exams.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the IS52 Course Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
