Qualifications

• Must be a degree‑seeking graduate student at JSU.
• Must be actively enrolled in a graduate degree program during the assistantship semester.
• Must be enrolled in six to nine graduate hours in fall/spring or summer term.
• Must not hold another campus job.
• Graduate assistantship tuition scholarship considerations may affect federal financial aid eligibility.
• Must complete FERPA and Sexual Harassment trainings.
• International graduate assistants require certification by the Director of the International House.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lab instructor.
• Assists in logging and processing course materials, assignments, papers, and internship materials.
• Assists in research tasks including use of the library and internet to find sources.
• Assists faculty and lab supervisor in lab preparation and clean‑up.
• Performs a combination of duties under the supervision of the faculty and lab supervisor.
• Performs clerical and other related duties as assigned.
