Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Graduate Engineer in the Substation Department in Austin, TX. You will perform routine engineering tasks, create drawings, calculations, and designs under the supervision of an experienced engineer in a hybrid office setting.

We value progress toward FE, ABET-accredited degree, and internship experience. You will work with engineers and technicians, travel up to 15%, and contribute to substation projects while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) is required.
• FE exam must be passed or must be able to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Electrical power systems coursework is preferred.
• Engineering internship experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of substation engineering systems.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and designs under supervision of experienced engineers.
• Create plans, schematics, and material lists for substation design.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Travel up to 15% as needed.
