You will capture high-quality video at events, edit footage for social media, collaborate with the athletics marketing team, and create engaging content for platforms like Instagram, X, and YouTube while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video content at athletic events, practices, and special events.
• Film game-day footage, athlete highlights, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and promotional material.
• Edit video content for social media, athletics websites, marketing, and other digital platforms.
• Create short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, X, and YouTube.
• Collaborate with athletics marketing and communications staff to develop creative concepts and execute content strategies.
• Help tell the stories of student-athletes, coaches, and teams through compelling visual content.
• Operate professional video cameras, lenses, audio equipment, tripods/monopods, and other production equipment.
• Organize, manage, and properly store video footage and project files.
• Meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects and athletic schedules.
• Maintain a professional presence with student-athletes, coaches, staff, visiting teams, and campus partners.
• Follow IWU Athletics branding and media guidelines.
• Be available to work select evenings, weekends, and athletic events throughout the academic year.
• Demonstrate creativity, initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new production techniques.
• Represent IWU and Wildcat Athletics in a professional manner at all times.

Summary of Position:

The goal of the Indiana Wesleyan Sports Information Department is to serve the Department of Athletics through media and gameday operations. Gameday roles include: Photography, Videography, Statistician, PA Announcer, Livestream Production, Tickets, Concessions, Scoreboard/Clock Operator, Hype Crew, and Social Media.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video content at Indiana Wesleyan University athletic events, practices, and special events
• Film game-day footage, athlete highlights, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and promotional material
• Edit video content for use across social media, athletics websites, marketing, and other digital platforms
• Create short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, X, and YouTube
• Collaborate with the athletics marketing and communications staff to develop creative concepts and execute content strategies
• Help tell the stories of Indiana Wesleyan student-athletes, coaches, and teams through compelling visual content
• Operate professional video cameras, lenses, audio equipment, tripods/monopods, and other production equipment
• Capture both planned and spontaneous moments that showcase the student-athlete experience and Wildcat Athletics
• Assist with pre-production, production, and post-production responsibilities as assigned
• Organize, manage, and properly store video footage and project files
• Meet assigned deadlines while balancing multiple projects and athletic schedules
• Maintain a professional presence while working with student-athletes, coaches, staff, visiting teams, and campus partners
• Follow Indiana Wesleyan University and Athletics Department branding and media guidelines
• Be available to work select evenings, weekends, and athletic events throughout the academic year
• Demonstrate creativity, initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new video production techniques
