Job summary
IMC Trading, a research-driven trading firm in Illinois, seeks a Software Engineer student to help build and maintain our trading platform and software stack. You will contribute to advancing trading strategies, collaborate with Traders, Quant Researchers and other Engineers, and grow across the full software development life cycle.
The role targets a student graduating between Sep 2026 and Jul 2027 with strong algorithms knowledge and Java or C++ proficiency.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student graduating Sep 2026 – Jul 2027 in CS/Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Proficiency in Java or C++ (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems programmatically.
- Willingness to interact with non-engineers in a dynamic environment.
- Interest in financial markets; prior knowledge not required.
- Available for full-time employment starting Feb or Aug 2027.

- Collaborate with Traders, Quant Researchers and other Engineers globally.
