For one of our clients, we are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer, Open Source and Linux, Canonical Ubuntu, remotely from Worldwide.

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will work on challenging projects related to open-source software, Linux systems, and Ubuntu. You will collaborate with global teams to develop high-quality, resilient, and performant code that serves millions of users. Your role will include contributing to open-source communities, engaging with users through code reviews, and gaining deep technical expertise in key programming languages and Linux systems.

Accountabilities:
  1. Design and develop high-quality code for open-source software projects, focusing on performance and user experience.
  2. Participate in global team sprints and contribute to product roadmaps every six months.
  3. Collaborate with the open-source community through code reviews and issue tracking to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  4. Develop a solid understanding of security in software design and implementation to ensure your code is secure and robust.
  5. Travel internationally twice a year for company events to collaborate and meet colleagues in person.
Requirements:
  1. Exceptional academic record from high school and university.
  2. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.
  4. Experience with Ubuntu or another Linux distribution.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
  6. A passion for technology and open-source software, demonstrated through personal projects.
  7. Willingness to travel internationally for company events.
