Job summary

enGen is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in developing and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions. You will work within the DCSS application development team on APIs, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization efforts through the full software lifecycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, architects, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part‑time in an accredited college or university.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day‑to‑day operational problems.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day‑to‑day objectives, with mentoring from senior personnel.
Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals as requested by management.
Engage in related studies or enrichment programs to meet operating unit objectives.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
