Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship. This program gives graduate students hands-on experience building and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions within the DCSS application development team, contributing to application development, API integrations, and cloud-enabled modernization initiatives.

The intern will work with software engineers, architects, business analysts, and product owners through the software development

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field related to software engineering or computer science.
Pursuing a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders during assignments.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day-to-day operating objectives.
Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
