Job summary

enGen invites graduate students to join our Summer 2027 Software Engineer internship. You will develop and modernize enterprise healthcare technology in the DCSS application development team, contribute to APIs, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization initiatives.

You will work with engineers, architects, analysts, and product owners in an Agile setting, engaging in design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while preparing for a full-time software engineering career in healthcare

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and internal/external constituencies in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day problems.
Under supervision, provide professional services as appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance, training, and mentoring.
Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to objectives of the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
