Job summary

The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for up to six Graduate Assistants in the College of Science & Mathematics on the Dahlonega campus. The graduate assistants will work closely with the CSIS department in conducting research and teaching activities, with a tuition waiver and campus-based hours.

Hours can be arranged with the supervisor and typically up to 12.5 hours per week. Applicants must be enrolled in the MS in Computer Science with at least 6 credits by hire, maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required by time of hire.
• Must be enrolled in the Master of Science in Computer Science with a minimum of 6 credit hours by time of hire.
• Must maintain a GPA of 3.25 in the qualifying degree program.
• Proficiency in one or more computer programming languages is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teaching activities - assist department professors with instruction, including lectures, attendance, grading, and proctoring examinations.
• Research activities - literature reviews, data collection (qualitative and quantitative), analysis, and research preparation.
• Event planning and management - assist with events, meetings, orientation, and external guests.
• Other duties as assigned
