Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley seeks a Graduate Research Assistant for the School of Medicine / PCCISU Population Health. This 0.5 FTE position involves recruiting and engaging study participants, analyzing demographics, and supporting CEAL trainings and stakeholder inquiries.

Must be a full-time graduate student with data management and programming basics in R or SAS. Open to those pursuing graduate studies, with a start around July 12, 2021, and potential extension to February 2022

Qualifications

Must be a full-time graduate student (9 hours during Fall/Spring, 6 hours Summer)
Experience/knowledge of data management and data analysis
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of programming in R, SAS or the ability to learn via other experiences
Position may be extended to February 2022 with fall/spring commitment

Responsibilities

Perform COVID informational and engagement sessions with participants
Review and analyze potential study participant demographics
Recruit and enroll study participants
Participate in CEAL meetings and trainings, culture and diversity trainings
Assist with inquiries from internal and external stakeholders of the STEPS group
Track participant survey series progress
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
