Job summary

Slippery Rock University seeks a full-time, temporary instructor for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for the 2027-2028 academic year. The role focuses on teaching within a well-established, three-year, fully accredited DPT program on Main Campus, with a salary structure competitive within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Responsibilities include teaching pediatric and/or cardiopulmonary PT, plus other curriculum areas, student advising, and scholarly activity; all

Qualifications

Current unrestricted license or eligibility for PT licensure in Pennsylvania.
Doctoral degree (DPT/PhD/EdD or other) required.
Minimum 3 years of post-licensure PT clinical practice.
Teaching experience in higher education or physical therapy professional development settings preferred.
Ability to teach pediatric and/or cardiopulmonary PT and use instructional technology.

Responsibilities

Teach in pediatric and/or cardiopulmonary physical therapy and other department needs.
Provide service at the department, college, university and professional levels; advise students.
Pursue scholarly activity through research, publications, and presentations; engage in clinical practice as appropriate.
Ensure compliance with CAPTE accreditation requirements.
