Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning to real-world pharmacy operations in our Alabama locations. Under a preceptor, you’ll complete a 120‑day training roadmap, learn patient safety, drug utilization review, and SOPs while supporting the pharmacy team.

The role emphasizes empathy, accurate dispensing, immunizations where permitted, and flexibility to work nights/weekends and travel to stores as needed.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
• Must obtain pharmacist licensure within state guidelines.
• Intern/technician licensure as required.
• Ability to work in a part-time, retail pharmacy setting.
• Willingness to travel to market stores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide customer service and counseling within SOPs.
• Support immunization and point-of-care services where allowed.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescriber when allowed.
• Complete inventory tasks and support store operations.
• Adhere to federal/state laws and CVS policies.
