Job summary

CVS Health in the United States offers a structured Graduate Pharmacy Intern program within our Retail stores. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice, completing a 120-day training roadmap under a pharmacist preceptor, preparing you for a Pharmacist role while delivering patient-centered service.

As you progress, you will support operations, immunizations, prescriptions, counseling, and ensure safety and quality, working with SOPs and caring for patients.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to starting the Post‑Graduate Training at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within state guidelines within 120 days of graduation.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately.
• Assist with immunizations, DUR, and ensure compliance with SOPs and privacy rules.
• Provide empathetic patient service and counseling within scope of practice.
• Maintain inventory, cycle counts, and assist with pharmacy workflow at each workstation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues; participate in training and mentoring.
• Travel within the market to stores as needed and support regulatory compliance.
