Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice under supervision. You will follow a comprehensive 120‑day training roadmap, deepen patient safety knowledge, and learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team with SOPs and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met; vaccination education and consent processes.
• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Counsel patients, respond to medical questions, and support immunization and point-of-care services where allowed.
• Support telephonic prescriptions, coordinate with prescribers when clarification is needed.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to pharmacy team members and participate in inventory activities.
• Travel to stores in the market as needed to support operations.
