Job summary

CVS Health Corporation offers a Graduate Pharmacy Intern program designed to apply didactic learning to real-world practice under the guidance of a preceptor. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days to deepen knowledge of store, district, and regional operations, while ensuring patient safety and quality assurance in the pharmacy.

The role supports pharmacists and technicians in daily workflow, immunization services where allowed, and telephonic or in-store counseling

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
• Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
• Support immunizations and related services where allowed by law and required training.
• Travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed by the business, and communicate with leaders to coordinate coverage.
