Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams, learn through a structured 120‑day training roadmap, and develop towards a Pharmacist role. You will work under a preceptor to deepen knowledge of safety, DUR, SOPs, and patient care while contributing to our mission to improve health care access and service.

You’ll perform core pharmacy tasks, learn to counsel patients, help with immunizations where permitted, and participate in a diverse, inclusive culture that values

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program before starting the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the specified timeframe per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Demonstrate empathy and patient care while supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients, field medical questions, and collect relevant medical history to provide optimal care under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions, verifications, and coordination with prescribers when allowed by law.
• Contribute to inventory management and training of pharmacy staff.
