Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory invites motivated graduate students to participate in a summer internship program in Los Alamos, NM. The role supports business and mission operations through project coordination, communications, HR and finance tasks, and documentation, with exposure to laboratory practices and workflows.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program (minimum 12 credits), maintain at least a 3.2 GPA, and be able to provide transcripts and a personal statement.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program.
• Must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credits (or full-time equivalent).
• Entering first-year students must provide matriculation documentation.
• GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating meetings, calendars, and event logistics.
• Preparing presentations, reports, and other materials.
• Collecting, organizing, and summarizing information.
• Maintaining records, spreadsheets, databases, and shared files.
• Tracking assignments, deadlines, and project activities.
• Supporting communications with internal/external stakeholders.
• Assisting with program, project, and administrative processes.
• Conducting general research and presenting key findings.
• Documenting decisions and action items in meetings.
• Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes.
• Collaborating with staff across teams.
• Completing a graduate-level project aligned with organizational needs.
