Job summary

Princeton Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN/LPN to render nursing care in assigned areas, under the Unit Manager, in alignment with established standards. The role focuses on individualized patient care and nursing procedures within a rehabilitative setting.

The position requires graduation from an RN/LPN program and a current license, with duties including medication administration, IV therapy, and care plan coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited RN/LPN program.
• Valid Graduate State RN/LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in safe basic preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care for assigned customers.
• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in customers.
• Contribute to development of the customer/significant other plan of care based on identified issues.
• Assist in evaluation of effectiveness of nursing care relative to identified needs.
• Document pertinent observations and interventions in the EMR.
• Perform selected tasks related to customer care and the environment safely.
• Administer medication accurately, observing customer response and documentation.
• Perform IV therapy procedures for peripherally inserted IV fluids, per RN scope of practice.
• Coordinate communication among customers, family, team members, and physicians as reflected in EMR and feedback.
• Assist in ensuring effective communication with customer/family as reflected in plan of care.
• Provide customer/family health teaching as indicated by condition and need.
• Utilize teaching methods such as one-on-one and group instruction; document responses.

Education
