Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Authorized by the Florida Board of Nursing to practice as a graduate nurse.
• Authorized to take the NCLEX.
• Must obtain Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida within three months.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital/inpatient setting under supervision.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops/revises individualized plans of care.
• Respects diversity and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Acts as advocate for patients and families.
• Documents patient care in a compliant manner across required standards.
• Is a preceptor/charge nurse/unit educator/nurse clinician as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

State of Florida RN licensure within 3 months of placement
