UPMC Shadyside is hiring Full-Time Registered Nurses to support various units throughout our facility. It is a three-time Magnet-designated hospital, a renowned teaching hospital, and a center of ongoing research and education. Service Lines Hiring:
  1. Oncology Service Line: Encompasses five units focused on oncology patients, including blood disorders, lymphoma, stem cell transplants, and hematology/oncology treatments. Opportunities for growth include continued education and certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
  2. Medicine Service Line: Supports our academic teaching mission across units 3 East, 3 Pavilion, 4 East, 4 Pavilion/South, and 5 Pavilion, with over 120 beds. These units care for patients of all ages with various conditions, with opportunities to become telemetry-trained, NIH stroke certified, and med/surg RNs.
  3. Surgical Service Line: Consists of departments with specialized surgical focuses, including Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Oncology, Urology, and Neuro Surgical/Oncology Stepdown units, staffed by specialists providing compassionate care and clinical excellence.

The Professional Staff Nurse provides competent patient care with empathy and a passion for learning. This role requires independent judgment, effective communication, and partnership with physicians, care providers, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

As a member of the care team, you will set standards for nursing care, with authority and accountability, exemplifying a commitment to the community and the profession.
