Job Summary:
The graduate nurse has a temporary Registered Nurse permit from the state of Wisconsin and works under the guidance of a Wisconsin Licensed Registered Nurse. The Graduate Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients under the direct supervision of an RN. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Graduate Nurse job description has incorporated the 13 essential functions of the job description which are adapted from the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Current temporary permit to practice as a Graduated Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Has not failed NCLEX exam.
