Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital's MICU, part of Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network, is seeking a full-time ICU RN. The 28-bed unit provides care for respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure, with private rooms and rotating weekends.

You will assess, plan, and coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license or multi-state via eNLC.
• Current CPR certification.
• Criminal background clearances required (Act 34/33/73).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
