Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking Graduate Nurses for day/night shifts in Amarillo, TX across multiple departments at BSA Hospital. This position offers exposure to Emergency, Surgical, Critical Care, Cath Lab, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, NICU, and other med/surg units.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess health needs, deliver evidence-based care, and support patients and families from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification is required depending on unit.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• TNCC certification is required for core staff in Surgical ICU.
• Previous acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care plans and document patient status accurately.
• Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning.
• Support multiple units including Emergency, Surgical, Critical Care, NICU, and Obstetrics as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Graduate Nurse will be accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• Current RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Depending on the unit-
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – specifically for core staff in Surgical ICU.
