Job description

A GN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and must handle a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including administering treatments or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting patient data.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure the care and safety of all patients/residents, maintaining current and revised individual care plans.
• Administer and document medications, treatments, and nursing services, reflecting progress and current conditions.
• Verify residents' needs through rounds and reports from team leaders or nursing supervisors.
• Notify designated representatives and physicians of any changes in patient/resident conditions or plans of care.
• Maintain knowledge of facility policies, including HIPAA standards and infection control techniques.

Requirements :

• Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate nurse eligible for licensure in New York State, with appropriate education and experience.
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse or mistreatment.
• Strong communication skills; ability to follow instructions.
• Respectful and caring attitude towards staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Physical endurance to perform activities, including lifting at least 20 pounds.

Pay Rate : $23.75
