Munson Healthcare is seeking a Graduate Nurse for the A7 dedicated stroke unit in Traverse City, Michigan. This full-time night shift position requires an active RN license in Michigan and a passion for neurology. As part of the only dedicated stroke unit in northern Michigan, you will be involved in care for patients with various neurological disorders.

A Day in the Life

• Be part of the only dedicated stroke unit in northern Michigan, a 29‑bed private room unit specializing in the care of patients with neurologic deficits.
• As part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) designation, we care for a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including:
  • Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
  • Seizure disorders
  • Headaches and mood disorders
  • Rare and complex neurologic syndromes
  • Post‑operative neurosurgical care (e.g., thrombectomies, TNK, craniotomies, VP shunts)

What’s Required

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
• Passion for neurology and high‑acuity care
• BLS Certification
• ACLS preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be obtained during unit orientation)
• Experienced RNs and new grads with a strong interest in neuro

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have laboratory‑confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
