Job summary

El Paso Behavioral Health System is seeking a Graduate Nurse (GN) to coordinate and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the health team, following the nursing process and Texas Board of Nursing standards. A graduate from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

The role requires CPR certification on hire and successful completion of the Handle With Care program, with RN licensure obtained within 6 months of hire or upon graduate permit expiration.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required on hire and current throughout employment.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a graduate professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care according to Texas Board of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) nursing experience preferred.

Licensure: A graduate permit is allowed on a temporary basis and an RN license is required upon graduate permit expiration or within 6 months of hire.

Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Must have current CPR certification upon hire. Successful completion of Handle With Care to include physical hold and verbal de-escalation during orientation.
