Job summary

The New School is seeking a Graduate Mentor for its Career Pathways Mentoring Program. You will be paired with four undergraduate students to support their academic and professional goals, meeting monthly for guidance and resource navigation, in a hybrid on-campus/remote format.

Responsibilities include four monthly meetings, initial in-person session, and supporting two group meetings over catered lunches. An 8-hour certificate will be completed before the semester starts.

Qualifications

  • Graduate student in good standing and eligible for part-time work.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher; graduation date no earlier than May 2026.
  • Able to provide guidance and connect mentees with university resources.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with mentees: four meetings per month (in person or remote).

  • Encourage mentees and guide them to university resources; communicate concerns to program chairs.
  • Complete 8-hour asynchronous peer mentoring certificate before start.

The Career Pathways Mentoring Program pairs a Graduate Mentor with four undergraduate students to help support their academic and professional aspirations.
