You will design overhead and underground systems (typically 4kV–35kV), prepare drawings with AutoCAD and GIS, and collaborate with engineers and clients while learning standards and industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn utility distribution design standards and tools.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the design of overhead and underground power distribution systems for local tampa clients. (typically 4kV–35kV).
• Prepare construction drawings and permit packages using AutoCAD, GIS, and utility-specific software.
• Support field walkdowns and site evaluations when needed.
• Interpret and apply utility design standards and local codes.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and utility clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn utility distribution design standards and industry tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar drafting/design software (coursework or internship experience is great).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred But Not Required:

• Internship or co‑op experience in power systems or infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of NESC standards or experience with utility permitting.
• Exposure to distribution design tools or GIS platforms.
