Job Description

Graduate Field Service Engineer, Metrology Instrumentation - A home-based role from South East England. The role involves circa 50% European travel and typically involves being away from home Monday to Thursday.

Salary & Benefits: £40,000 to £50,000, Bonus, Hybrid working, Company car, Pension, Healthcare, Company credit card, Fuel card, 37.5 hours a week with additional hours compensated as time off in lieu.

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer-focused Graduate Field Service Engineer responsible for:

  1. Providing service, installation, repair, and maintenance of advanced metrology tools at customer sites.
  2. Providing technical support and customer training.
  3. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your Background – Graduate Field Service Engineer, Metrology Instrumentation

To succeed, you must demonstrate:

  • A Degree or Masters in life sciences, chemistry, physics, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of scientific measurement techniques, life sciences, physics, chemistry, mass spectrometry, AFM, or spectroscopy.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Basic electronics troubleshooting skills (e.g., using a voltmeter or oscilloscope).
  • The ability to learn quickly and understand complex technical topics.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, with external customers and internal departments.
