We’ve inspired each other to discover thoughtful and creative solutions that look beyond the needs of today to the opportunities of tomorrow. We invite you to forge ahead with us.

What You Will Do:
  • As a structural EIT you will be a member of a team performing bridge design and other structural design for a wide variety of clients including cities, counties, state, and private entities.
  • You will work under Professional Engineers to provide our clients with efficient designs focused on quality.
  • You will use your engineering design skills to perform structural calculations for both new and existing structures, to work with engineering technicians in the development of engineering drawings, to develop project specifications and special provisions, to participate in structural inspections, and to write reports regarding the inspection and evaluation of existing facilities While bridge projects are expected to make up the majority of your work, you will also be required to provide structural design and analysis for retaining walls, buildings and other vertical structures, and hydraulic structures such as clarifiers, tanks, dam, and weirs.
  • You will initially be under the direct supervision of Professional Engineers. As you gain experience and your skills develop, the amount of independent judgement granted, and complexity of tasks performed will increase.
What You Will Bring:
  • The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school. A Master’s of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred, but not required.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a condition of employment and must be achieved at the time of hire or within six (6) months of the start date to maintain employment.
  • Coursework, research, or internship experience in bridge and related structural design is highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Bridge Design.
  • Familiar with LRFD design procedures, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel to perform basic calculations and possess basic drawing skills in either Microstation or AutoCAD.
