Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a New Graduate Engineer for the Starship Components team to contribute across manufacturing, design, testing, and machining of critical spacecraft hardware. You will work on valves, regulators, actuators, pumps, and explosive devices, applying engineering fundamentals in extreme environments.

Graduates from Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 with a strong GPA and hands-on project experience in physics or engineering are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years of mechanical and/or fluids engineering experience via project teams, research, internships, and/or professional experience.
• Graduating in Fall/Winter of 2026 or Spring/Summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing: accelerate weekly delivery, improve designs for assembly/testing, automate where possible.
• Design: select architecture, size components, perform structural analyses, and drive design reviews to minimize delays.
• Testing: design and validate automated test systems, prove hardware under flight-like conditions, ensure safety.
• Machining: define manufacturing strategy and enable lights-out machining.
