POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Graduate Engineer II at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for performing entry‑level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

• Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall design effort.
• Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
• Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
• Determines additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinates them directly with LJA.
• Makes basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
• Applied prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Adjusts and correlates data.
• Recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and the adoption of alternatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science, in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT License required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of experience in Land Development
• Ability to build strong relationships
