Job summary

Austin Energy in Austin, TX is recruiting a Graduate Engineer A to join the Relay Engineering team. You will support design drawings, field relay installations, and project execution from design to commissioning under supervision.

This role blends engineering analysis with hands-on problem solving to strengthen the city’s electric grid. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, are detail oriented, and can communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) and ability to perform routine engineering tasks
• Knowledge of engineering design principles and standard practices
• Ability to perform calculations and use computer software for drawings/analyses

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of design drawings and project documents
• Support field inspections and ensure compliance with plans and specs
• Develop preliminary, periodic and final estimates of quantities and costs
• Prepare technical reports and correspondence for project teams and customers
